This is my bed right now because I am home sick with a summer flu for the last 4 days. Yes, I did go out to the store today but I had pretty much run out of food so I had no choice. Other than that I have been stuck here, being miserable and whining to my friends. I mean, who gets the flu in JULY? WHO??

thermometer: check
twisted sheets (de rigueur for sick persons): check
balled up top that I tore off during the night due to night sweats: check
magazine pile that I want to read but can’t because I feel too shitty: check
laptop turned to shopping site because I’m so friggin’ bored I’ll probably spend a couple of hundred dollars online before it’s all over: check
OK, thanks. I feel a little better.
I’m on day 3. My bed looks shockingly identical, except I have a mercury thermometer on the night-stand. Feel better!
